Chinese New Year

Las Vegas is a city that enjoys celebrating cultural diversity. When Chinese New Year draws near, The Venetian Resort transforms. We begin with a grand display in the Waterfall Atrium. A feng shui master is consulted to make sure every cultural detail has been considered. It's truly a sight to behold.

01 Big. Tiger. Energy.

Every year, The Venetian Resort commemorates the lunar new year with a colossal art installation.  In 2022 – the Year of the Tiger – the majestic feline stands guard over The Waterfall & Atrium Gardens.  He stands 10’ tall, is 13’ long and weighs 1500 pounds.

To prepare for the traditional holiday, our floral and horticulture department worked with a team of artisans from around the world. To ensure authenticity, they also consulted with a Feng Shui master, who recommends that guests walk clockwise around the tiger display three times to bring blessings of Heaven, Earth, and Mankind upon them.
